Bernie went from attacking the 1% and leading a populist revolution to shilling for the Elite. What a disappointment....

You had me at Brokeback!!!

My lifting partner for years hurt his back and could not workout for about a year. We worked out at the local YMCA together for years, and it is a super friendly place. Everyone talks with everyone, from the individual lifters to the group exercise folks.

Oh, and the showers at this old YMCA had no privacy doors, simply 8-10 shower heads.

One day I'm in the shower post workout and a guy asks, "Hey man, where is your buddy Mike?"

Me, "Well, turns out Mike is Brokeback!"

Everyone laughs and Mike is now Brokeback Mike to a number of dudes at the Y.

I still find it funny 15 years later.

Total sellout to the Uniparty.

The oligarch wing of the DNC and the neocon wing of the RNC have largely merged in the middle, representing mostly the interests of the elites. (Maybe the elites figure that since they are paying most of the bills around here, they should get biggest input. I say they created this monster on purpose.)

Anyway, there is a small group of committed ideologues on both the left and the right who still represent their constituency but against the Uniparty they have little to no power to do anything except hold hearings.

The Uniparty (one party, two marketing departments) wants status quo and certainly doesn't want Trump, so Bernie (who has always been a fake sellout) is shilling to try to prevent a split in the left vote to the advantage of the right vote, which is largely a foregone conclusion.

Once you have the correct paradigm it all makes sense.

Bernie Bros always cracked me up. Total nitwits who idolized a guy who epitomizes “do as I say, not as I do”. I do admire his brazen hypocrisy though, it takes quite a commitment.

My very favorite Bernie memory is when he became a millionaire and instantly adjusted all his speeches so that instead of ranting like a lunatic about "millyunairz an billyunairz" it was suddenly only "billyunairz" that were the pinnacle of all evil. And then he'd leave in his brand new Audi R8. It became trivial to troll Bernie Bros into impotent mouthfoaming rage with this very obvious alteration in his pathetic pander. So super fun.

To think he was actually given the keys to the Treasury and did nothing... I wonder what the kompromat is...

Well, Ben, never say you don't entertain. Cleaned up the garden area and repotted some plants; stuck some microfiber towels in the dryer on ultra low ; and got a cup of coffee only to watch the "Pulp Fiction" clip. I saw the movie years ago and have absolutely no recollection of the scene, but it certainly resonates in today's environment. I think not only most of Washington but also much of the world today is brokeback if truth be told. Meaning...people seem easily bought and /or compromised. I'll have to rent "Pulp Fiction" one evening since I've obviously forgotten most of the movie.
