" the nations of the region are not pure-as-the-driven-snow ethnostates"

I would humbly suggest that you look up the meaning of the word 'nation'. It does not mean 'country'. It literally means tribe or ethnic group. A group of people who share a common language, culture/religion, and descent.

A 'nation state' is a country for a given nation. For instance, China is a nation state of the Han Chinese nation. Contrast that with South Africa, Brazil, or the USA, which are multicultural countries.

It's very confusing to hear Americans use the word 'nation' like it is a synonym for 'country'. I know that 'woman' no longer means what is used to, but it makes it very difficult to interpret terms like the "First Nations" of Canada.

I had an experience like this almost 49 years ago at college in Cambridge, MA. Yes I guess I am getting old. So in front of the Athletic Center, right on Mass Ave, a foreign looking young man stopped suddenly next to a tree, pulled down his pants, pushed one out, and then pulled up his pants and walked away. I don't remember why I was on the sidewalk. It was mid-afternoon, and I was the only one to see this. (That is the surprising thing.) I was so shocked that I never told anyone until now. Maybe it's best to stay out of Massachusetts.

Went to Boston for grad school in 1991. Stayed until May 2020. The moron's snot pouch edict, on top of all the other bullshit going on, just sent me around the bend. We went to NH for a bit, then left the NE permanently in late Aug 2021. Yes, best to get out and stay out of MA, NH, ME, VT, CT, RI, NY. And Jersey, too?

Yes, it is hard to know where to go! California people went to Colorado. That turned sharp left, and now everyone went to Montana. The South has the border problems. Chicago and IL are in big trouble. WV is cheap but has problems. Oh, and my dorms back then 50 year ago had roaches!! Another reason to get out of MA.

We chose NW Florida -- central time zone -- that's how far west. It's more southern than Florida, which is part of what we love about it. Have come across many, many freedom-loving people here who are also working in different ways toward that goal.

Something in me "snapped" when that loser Charlie Baker issued his snot pouch mandate. "That's it!" I yelled. "I've had it with this bullshit state!"

We did have a good life, but the "liberals" and government-lovng fools there make it impossible to truly enjoy. So when the COVID operation launched, I knew we were in trouble, but when that mask edict came along????

Done, done, and done! Never looking back, never going back -- unless somebody dies...

Thanks for a good recommendation! I won't tell anyone.😊 I had absolutely no idea what I was getting into when I came from rural PA to MA. The beliefs of that state are incomprehensible.

We actually did manage to find a few people there who were cool...The COVID operation just made it all impossible -- the final straw as the saying goes.

It IS best to stay out of Massachusetts. I grew up there. In Maine now, but leftist (mostly Portland and coastal areas) have taken over what loong been known as a rugged self-reliant people.

... face facts, no room for argument. sad truth be told, throughout history desegregation consistently fails. For good reason, Spain expelled the Moors, reimposed absolute Catholicism. No gentle way of putting this, having historically proven themselves the most volatile, insufferable, intolerant, morally bankrupt misfits on planet Earth, Muslims are incapable of peaceful coexistence, in a free society. These people must be isolated, expelled, or constrained - Samuel.

We could learn a lot from Poland.

Action: Direct, Targeted, and Immediate!

I approve!

Our nation will likewise go to shit if we don't start doing the same. Kudos to Poland!

This reminds me of the movie 'Sandlot' where someone put a Baby Ruth candy bar in the community pool. Even though Poland is a member of the EU, President Duda doesn't seem to be part of the 'woke' foolishness. I wish we could say the same.

They do seem to be buying into the foolishness of Ukraine though.

Yes, which is so very unfortunate.

I don't think that is true, albeit I am an outsider who knows little of Polish politics. However, Duda and his government are planning on importing hundreds of thousands of Indians and others into Poland. That alone should convince you that they are fully onboard with replacing and marginalizing the traditional population.

They should have let the "rednecks" handle him, but I guess they don't have any "rednecks."

It would have saved the state a plane ticket!
