The sentence in the first section says it all - " The main issue with all over-the-counter supplements is lack of regulation."
They tried to do this in the 90s (along with the attempt to destroy the practice of Chiropractic medicine). They were planning to over regulate the supplement industry so you needed a prescription for anything meaningful. Gary Null and others defeated both of these malevolent attempts to destroy industries that heal.
Instead of taking supplements for brain health, swap coconut oil for any other, especially seed oils. Or olive if you cook with it. Even daddy gov gives CO a thumbs up even thought they don't say it in the "food agency."
The Gov may be gung ho,but even knowing about the long chain and etc,a number of health authorities question the advisability a depending solely on saturated fat.
My approach is to use a variety of organic oils.
Also, not all EVOO has a low smoke point, and many consider it a sign of poor quality if not adulteration.
Many of the comments, as well as the quotes that come after the comments are telling me something about the complexity of analytic thought. It never ends. So, while humans beings think, they do not think of everything. Since all the typical thought problems are so complex it is only possible to think it through partially. So do that ---and stop wherever you like. Think a problem through partially, and stop when you find a convenient stopping place. Stop wherever is convenient for you. If the conclusion is a good one you may stop there. Stop somewhere, and at that point, just check on what the conclusion is that you have arrived at. Keep thinking until you find a suitable stopping place. Then stop thinking right there and just stay with that one. Unless it is the wrong conclusion. Then you can think some more and find a better stopping place. That is what the Goldman financial analyst may be doing.
I think there is something to what I am saying because when I try to analyze something conceptually I never get to a final "conclusion." The thoughts keep going. If one does a really bang-up job of it, maybe one gets a satisfying result. Really no one ever thinks a thing through completely. This is why humans originally depended on "primitive" religions, or myths I should say. The myths were "wrong," but they served a purpose.
Better to quickly default to a convenient myth that fool yourself that you can think a problem through to a final conclusion.
I totally agree with the precept, but not the example.I sustained a far more serious head injury than a footballer ever could.I spent a lot of money on Ginko and it was an utter waste,I gave it a full year and it was worthless.
I got an Rx for a pharma drug called Hydergine and it worked great, the therapeutic effect being increased blood flow to the brain.
Then my insurance demanded an official diagnosis of dementia, and my PA-C advised that I should skip it,as a dementia diagnosis could be used against me and compromise my freedom to live as I choose.
So I haven't used it in decades, but I would fill an Rx in a red hot second and I completely agree that Ginko is a pointless scam.
If you are having brain troubles, it is because of the drugs (legal or illegal) you are taking. Or it could be something else but not a lack of supplements. Herbs are likely to be beneficial but if you continue to poison yourself it won't matter.
They would say that wouldn't they.
I personally find NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) and phosphatidylserine marvellous for mental function, and a few grams of Vitamin C.

I coconut oil is legit and maybe the best of them all because of the mct and the stable fats.
But what about butter?
Butter is great as long as you have good cows. We did a show on it years with Dr. Joel Wallach

However, butter doesn't have the MCT that is needed for brain health.
Yeah, that one never gets old. Anything not expressly permitted should be forbidden! You can only have a supplement if Daddy Warbucks approves.

This is the same Harvard with the plagiarized theses?

Am I getting off topic???

Or about a thousand other potential causes.Your absolutism is absolutely absurd.
YOU are the disea$€; their drugs the cure. Say no to the pharma devils, their presstitutes and the political filth that man their concentration camps.
