Given all the scandals about the Catholic church, you have to wonder what was going on in all those Tibetan monasteries. Tibet was a feudal society before the Chinese arrived and I thought I read somewhere that a huge percentage of the population or something were monks at any given time. Imagine trying to feed a feudal society like this in the high Himalayas with so many idle people??? I think much of the so-called CCP propaganda about Tibet is probably accurate...
