“This Is America” explores the undercurrents pulling Western civilization into the abyss. I made the mistake a few months back of YouTubing yoga poses for my amateur morning yoga routine in the yard. I’m actually pretty good at it, relatively speaking, despite little formal training aside from some free classes in a hi-so Bangkok studio I went to back in the day. (It was always a dystopian and jarring juxtaposition to leave the well-perfumed sanctuary of a Silom yoga studio into the urban hellscape that is the Central Business District.)
Very funny. I got off facebook first in 2016 due to the overpowering woke-ism even then. I left twitter in 2019 due to shadow banning. I stopped going to youtube for anything in 2021 I left IG in 2021 finally.
I had a similar experience with IG where they were putting spread eagle yoga pants pics in my feed and then ladies taking selfies who were “embracing” their gray hair. No idea why. WTF? I don’t miss any of this stupidity.
‘Topless bible reading for clicks’ is a poetic line, as well as a disturbing image - maybe all the more disturbing because of the ever increasing chances of it occurring in this strange end of civilisation times of ours.
Skanks spread-eagling themselves on Youtube and labeling it "yoga" is as egregious as people - or marketers - showing some stream flowing through the woods and with labels like "Find your Zen!" Bottom of the barrel marketing to the most slack-jawed of the mouth-breathers.

the bible is to anti sex/women for that, isn't it? i haven't watched these yoga vids but is it the same if men are dog it topless? i understand clicks , porn, and all that, but there's still a division here , calling women whores. and old trope. quite biblical, really ;)
A woman who chooses to use her physicality in a sexual enticement way, to capitalize on her beauty, her attractiveness, instead of making, building, fostering, nurturing, specialized knowledge in a difficult subject, is a whore. It is not a misogynist word. The women who lived by their wits (not by their tits) probably invented the word. It is an ancient word.
I'm an elderly millennial. The younger generation is hustling to monetize their good looks. We are in a wild time where old standards and concepts like guilt and shame are fading away. A new social order will have to emerge from the ashes.
