If your NIACIN is 500mg "omg full-flush" Nicotinic acid,

then you are doing well.

Niacinamide, however, is not completely worthless, perhaps.

it's the flushy niacin.

i get red as a raspberry

Expand full comment

That's the spirit.

Also:

You can use that particular event to motivate other things toward your skin, if needed.

IANAD, so this "only works for me".

For example:

taking ivermectin/albendazole/etc some short time (hour?) before taking the niacin

to let the niacin flush it into the skin.

Using that flushing mechanism to push the meds where they might not otherwise reach.

Perhaps some Non-Pharma doctor like Sam Bailey or her husband

could answer if this is wrong-headed - it is just my own little booster hack.

I've thought about this same concept before. It's an interesting theory. I wonder if it works this way in reality.

Hope this might be useful.

I’m old with all of the conditions that are common to that status. I share many supplements on your list, plus extra vitamins which you are unlikely to need.

But I also take the following which I trust are beneficial and which you might like to investigate –

Alpha lipoic acid – oxidant

L-proline – gut health

Resveratrol – protects against many chronic conditions

L-lysine – essential amino acid – useful all-rounder.

Kindest, Zara.

resveratrol is a good one. I used to take it but it fell out of rotation for some reason.

Bro: Methylene Blue is the new hip nootropic and anti-Covid/Long Covid/Cancer supplement. I also do flush niacin as an NAD+ precursor but also take a supplement by Thorne that has Nicotinamide Riboside and coffee fruit extract which increases BDNF. Ashwagandha is an excellent and safe adaptogen and cognitive enhancer that lowers cortisol. It works gradually over time. Reishi would be a good addition to your mushroom stack. TMG is often useful for people taking a lot of Nicotinic Acid because niacin acts as a methyl sponge so if you're not an over methylator, TMG, trimethyglycine acts as a methyl donor. I'm not nuts about cod liver oil because the long chain fats are the most polyunsaturated fats found in nature. Fish oil is for fish. When it gets up to room or body temperature and is exposed to oxygen it spontaneously oxidizes. Other than that, good stack...

I've never tested my methylation capacity but it's probably something I should look into.

I spelled TMG wrong: It's Trimethylglycine.

Basically, if one eats sensibly, one does not really need all the plethora of "supplements". I do declare, that I have yet to chance upon a vitamin pill tree in all walks through jungles, across barren deserts, bottomlands, and grasslands.

And there is almost as much hype and disinformation and pillpushers in the "vitamin supplements" industry as in Big Pharma. Plenty of charlatans there too.

And while Covid is basically a relabeling of the common sniffles, which usually result from an overload on the immune system- Americans especially just love pumping the poisons of the Golden Arches and Subway into their innards- it was a boon to the Horse Paste- er, Ivermectin, industry.

They tell me that oatmeal is atrocious. Well, my uncle ate oatmeal every day for breakfast and lived into his late eighties. My grandma thought it was the eggs that gave her husband his heart attack because that was the lore in her day.

So I'll just keep imbibing onions and greens and eggs and some occasional meat and tuna. Mid '60's and still going strong.

Just avoid those thermonuclear mushroom clouds. Most unhealthy, I hear.

the question is, what you need all this sh!t for? Do you want to up your math skills? Most of that is just money down the toilet, except mag and zinc.

I learned over time that it is much more important for any type of performance what you do NOT take in, instead of what supplements you take. Try getting rid of wheat, milk, alcohol, reduce caffeine intake and your neurones will fire on all cylinders.

One word: Anatablok. Taken for 12 years. (also take many of your others, but this is the top of my list)

Expand full comment

Well, there went 45 minutes of my life.

Anatabloc (Anatablok) looked quite interesting.

It appears that the FDA in the USofA went after the manufacturer and it became unavailable in the US. I am not 100% sure on that though. I threw up my hands after a while trying to find a US source.

I will note some concerning research I found. The research indicated that the active ingredient, anatabine, protects against cancer but if you have cancer it favors the cancer. Did not do a comprehensive search on this, though, as it doesn't appear to be available in the US anyways.

Expand full comment

I buy it through Predator nutrition, and know of no problem. Go to google scholar, and google "anatabine safety" (I chose since 2020) and I think you will find it helpful. It became unavailable in the United States because they wanted to remove the Governor of Virginia with a bribery scandal (SC acquitted https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/former-virginia-governor-robert-mcdonnell-spared-prison-sentence-n599506) and successfully then installed Terry McAuliffe. Couldn't let the "briber" continue to succeed, so they banned a natural occurring alkaloid in the food chain (sort of like having licopene supplements) as over-promoted. It is now coming back into use due to all the research on it, at least as far as I know.

Systems biology reveals anatabine to be an NRF2 activator

https://doaj.org/article/33c86e45ac994722b7f173aef46008a0

Transient Nrf2 activation, by its specific activators, has protective roles against carcinogenesis and cancer development. However, permanent activation of Nrf2 promotes various cancer properties, comprising malignant progression, chemo/radio resistance, and poor patient prognosis. Taken together, these findings suggest that reaching an optimal balance between paradoxical functions of Nrf2 in malignancy may render a selective improvement to identify therapeutic strategies in cancer treatment.

First time reader and poster. Great subject!

I'm obsessed with Mitochondrial function/disfunction, it's relationship to cancer and the metabolic theory (Warburg) so I'm always trying different related supplements that might positively affect mitochondria and apoptosis. I take Tru Niagen (NMR), Urolithin A from Timeline and another NMN product for NAD+ support.

I take almost all of the products listed in your post and never got covid.

I started taking berberine for a stomach issue and discovered that it apparently dulls the insulin hit from carbs/sugar. I lost 25 lbs in a couple months using this and intermittent fasting. This is not some exotic stimulant and I've read that it mimics metformin. Also it has minor laxative hit which is a win for me.

I've had a chronic low white blood cell count for most of my life. I read that zinc supplementation can cause this so I started taking copper with my zinc. Haven't done the bloodwork yet. At this point (65 y.o) I'm taking a lot of supplements and making great gains in my workouts and inflammation is a rarity anymore. I think that's been tamed by cutting out seed oils.

So, Berberine, NMR, MNM, Urolithin A, Copper, BPC 157 plus almost all the supplements on your list.

I also forgot to mention that I take berberine whenever I eat a lot of carbs as well, although that's not very often.

I took NMN for a while but it's kind of pricey and I wasn't convinced it was totally worth the cost.

I have most of those items in the home pharmacopia, but added Oregano Oil capsules a while ago after reading how they help with respiratory problems. I had a terrible cough last 'pollution season' in Bangkok, when the childhood asthma comes back to plague me. No more cough. Oregano oil is supposed to be good for microbiome too. I also take Nattokinase once per week (lots of multi-c19 injection-boosted-shedders on public transport here), and Nigella Sativa ('black seed' oil) one tablespoon once a week; another good detox agent.

Ha it does add up...I started to think it was excessive taking the whole stack / protocol daily. Now I take Vit D 5,000 ui and Chelated Zinc daily. Glycine and Lion's mane about twice a week. NAC, Nattokinase, Oregano oil, Black seed oil, once a week on same day. If you pass through Bangkok you could order black seed oil from this site I use - super cheap @ 950 baht for 1 litre: https://www.organicthailand.com/en/product/12110-10002/virgin-black-seed-oil-1liter

Also they do small 100cc bottles for 135 baht - they make for great gifts to distribute to injected friends and family...Nigella Sativa has been added to the World Council for Health's updated spike protein detox guide since December 2023:
