By the time the majority can identify the seat of corruption, it has moved elsewhere.

In my lifetime the old Stalinist regime of: show trials, mass surveillance/police spying, severe censorship, gross state incompetence, state monopolism, shortages and miserable uniformity, etc melted down to reappear in the Western countries that formerly cherished: freedom, innovation, fairness, justice and human dignity, etc.

... Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton gone berserk, having a field day pulling strings, twisting arms, meting out political payback, free from accountability hiding out, incognito, pinning blame for everything they're doing on a hapless, senile geriatric dunce, Bejing-Biden - Samuel.

... what we now know, as of this writing, what's propping up Bejing-Biden and his Obama-Clinton handlers:

1). the FBI (e.g., Bill Clinton is a longtime FBI asset) -

2). the DOJ -

3). the Pentagon -

4). the CIA (e.g., the CIA people like the Biden; they'd do anything for him) -

5). the mainstream media (e.g., one in the same, CIA and America's mainstream media are now all but synonymous) -

I would throw out the second definition of "Citizen" here... Not the country you were born in, or hold allegiance to... Not that one... The second one, they convoluted it but these two words sum it up nicely... Subject To! When you are someone's subject, and not a living man of the land jurisdiction. You expose yourself to all kinds of color of Laws that are really nothing more than corporate by laws... You know like McDonalds or WalMart employees rules and regulations... A U. S. Citizen is a corporate slave, a non-voluntary employee of the Corporation "The United States." That's why they make you go into their courts of the Water jurisdiction.... Why does the British Accrediation Registry run American Courts? Are you a PERSON, INDIVIDUAL, SUBJECT, ENTITY, FOUNDATION, OR TRUST? If you claim person you are claiming you are a corporation therefore subject to their laws... I'm one of We The People, not a person!!! I sure wish someone would prove me wrong on this..... Peace...

Thanks for that interesting backstory on Edward Snowden's escape from Hawaii (was it Maui, praytell?). Everything apparently happened right in the nick of time for him, which sadly was not the case for not even US citizen Julian Assange. Obviously their deal of "come back and we'll arrest you at the airport" is a no go. You can see a declining civilization by the high number of laws indeed., along with the double standards that go along with interpreting them all...

Scott Ritter has bothered me. Confiscation of his passport for no reason is wrong. But he's had issues with criminal charges related to underage chatting. Back in the WMD era he was a weird dude. Very strange person. I wouldn't trust anything about that guy.

I am aware of his past but that is neither here nor there in terms of whether his passport can be confiscated on a whim of some State Dept. bureaucrat

Perhaps my old age...but I don't become emotional much these days about petty matters. "...some gothic cunt over at The Daily Beast thinks it’s super awesome and worth celebrating that the government can arbitrarily restrict American citizens’ ability to travel with no due process." Believe me, Ben, this is a guarantee: that cunt over at the Beast will soon rue the day they supported taking another individual's passport. I guarantee this statement. I'm 75 and maybe have another 20-25 years. The cunt is likely much younger and will be subject to the most horrible totalitarianism I see descending on the U.S....not matter who's president. You're the subjects of the Oligarchs. Nothing else matters. Your governments follow their orders.

The problem is Ritter shook their hands after they acted against the constitution that they swore to uphold. Ok don't judge them but don't shake their hands for knowingly doing evil.
