It's not my fault, I have a thyroid problem...

the old "thyroid problem" fallback!

That's what we need- hotels that accommodate hippopotamuses. I suppose that soon airplanes will either have to get bigger engines or limit the seating.

You know what? Go ahead and subsidize it. They're going to anyway. Any way to spend this country into oblivion. On the bright side, that crap comes with so many side effects that chronic users won't be around for any extended period of time anyway. Boo hoo, Big Pharm got screwed out of their jab profits because people got suspicious, so they're making up for it with this garbage. Is the military behind this one too? /rant over

Sorry, but I've about had it with News of the Stupid. I'm not annoyed with you Ben, just with the abject stupidity that is life on our planet these days. And my apologies to Elagabalus, but that crap is going to kill you. And from what I understand, you can't get off of it.

I sincerely wish Elagabalus the best, but I fear he might find out the hard way that Ozempic isn't the miracle it's purported to be

Four years ago I suffered a disabling injury. Because of the injury I could hardly walk and any attempt to exercise exacerbated the damage. I took steroids for the pain. The steroids and the lack of exercise caused me to gain a life threatening amount of weight. Surprisingly (to me) I have normal blood sugar, maybe because I prefer protein to sweets.

I am in Latin America where top quality care is available at less than the cost of copays in the US. Ozempic is about $3000/yr rather than $20000/yr in the states. I have a special type of internist for urgent conditions. He put me on Ozempic 2 months ago and it is pretty magical. The weight is coming off. without discomfort I need to remind myself to eat something everyday. (I also have almost totally tapered off the steroid.)

I have to say that I appreciate Ozempic very much. I wasn't eating a lot when I gained the weight. The doctor says my gain was metabolic, though I hear that a lot from other heavy people so maybe it is just something they say to the fatties. But I really would have had trouble losing a lot of weight without Ozempic. I am looking better and better which motivates further loss and gives me hope for the future. I couldn't imagine being in a relationship before but it is becoming more and more plausible.

Ben, I know you hate pharma -- and I do too, in many cases. But this is my alternate perspective.

Fair enough. Glad to hear you're apparently recovering well.

You would do better with an informed perspective.

It's not like the Death Jab, no one is disputing that it enables loss, it's messing with your metabolism, NOT fixing it.

Go off it and the weight will pile right back on, guaranteed.

Do a search, become informed and have an actual basis beyond anecdotal partial evidence.

It's not nice to fool mother nature and I'm this case only limited and conditional, temporary relief needs to be contrasted with unintended negative effects.

It may be somehow beneficial enough to you with your actual medical issues but for garden variety gluttons it is very dubious, and the price you pay doesn't indicate pharma is not scamming, it is rock solid proof that it is in fact scamming.

A couple things worth noting...

Israel knew the previous Yom Kippur attack in 1973 was coming and were enjoined from so much as logistical preparation by Henry Kissinger.

Also, Coffee and Covid, here on SubstacK has the details of the evisceration of Israeli Cyber Security and subsequent take over by a JoeBama Administration group with a company called Paragon.

Finally, you might research the solid year of weekly Day of Rage mass assaults on the Border Fence by essentially the entire Fakestinian population, testing responses and probing for weaknesses.

But above all, you should get a clue and understand you are the next target, the UN Fakestinian Scam is utter horseshit and anyone lazy and ignorant enough to fall for it should be deeply embarrassed at such unbridled gullibility.

One more News Flash :There are currently videos on Twitter showing:

Pals contemptuously throwing airlifted meals into the garbage.

Pals buying tastier fare from street vendors

Pals buying treats from sweet shops

A Pal complaining of paying $2.98 for a Snickers bar, one cent sheaoer than Walgreens or CVS.

It's all Crapola, they are by far the most indulged populace on the planet.

Fat steals beauty. It steals vitality. Creates a victim mentality. These fat influencers can say whatever they want, but we should be able to push back accordingly.

Ahhh ... there it is .... the eventual pay off for the insulin price cuts. The market for these are huge and the potential windfall if (or should I say, when) covered by Medicare for weight loss .... The shell game ....

The Food Desert thing is BS, too.

Food Deserts happen because the Ghetto Dog Thievery makes continued operation in Black Neighborhoods impossible.

And it isn't the reason for widespread Black Gluttony, either.

I live directly across from a full service grocery and I have an easy dozen Black Neighbors too fat to get out of their own way.

It's just another form of excess, like day glo houses, giant clown wheels on cars, obnoxious $7000 car stereos pumping out rap at 120 Db, " The Color Purple" and pants 12 sizes too big.
