I find it extremely interesting, and highly-insulting, that whilst mask & vaccine mandates are either implemented or considered, that smoking remains legal.
And though I'm not proposing more government mandates, on smoking, it does go to the show the absolute hypocrisy of the completely corrupted corporate state.

As per the CDC:
☼ Smoking is the leading cause of preventable death.
☼ OVER 480,000 yearly deaths in the U.S. are attributed to tobacco smoking. That's every single year, year after year. And as such a number that completely eclipses covid deaths.
☼ Worldwide, tobacco use causes more than 7 million deaths per year. That's every single year, year after year. And as such a number that completely eclipses covid deaths.
☼ More than 41,000 yearly deaths result from secondhand smoke exposure. That's every single year, year after year. And as such a number that completely eclipses covid deaths.
☼ On average, smokers die 10 years earlier than nonsmokers (whom aren't exposed to second-hand smoke).
Interestingly, but not surprisingly, the largest institutional shareholders of the largest vaccine (not-vaccine) makers, like Pfizer (pfe), Moderna (mrna), J&J (jnj), and others, include the largest Big Money Management firms & Big Banks, like:
Vanguard, BlackRock, State Street. Fidelity, Invesco, JP Morgan, the Capital Group, et al.
Similarly, the largest institutional shareholders of the largest Big Tobacco companies, like Philip Morris Int. (pmi), Altria (mo), British American Tobacco (bats, bti), etc., include the same Cartel of largest Big Money Management firms & Big Banks, like:
Vanguard, BlackRock, State StreeVanguard, BlackRock, State Street. Fidelity, Invesco, JP Morgan, the Capital Group, et al.
This Cartel of largest institutional shareholders also exist as the largest shareholders of mask makers, like 3M (mmm).

I also find it extremely interesting that those people I know that are most critical of the unmasked & unvaccinated, are:
Smokers.
Heavy Drinkers.
Heavily Obese.
In other words, those least willing to take the necessary steps & precautions to protect themselves, first.
Those often screaming the first & loudest about how others need to take extreme measures to protect them, when they don't protect themselves first.
18th century British authors John Trenchard & Thomas Gordon wrote their essay title Cato's Letters regarding the massive corporate corruption of the British government.
Regarding undue influence & corruption exercised over the British government by mega-corporations like the South Sea Co., the East India Co, et al.

Warning of special rights & protections afforded the politically-connected corporate Elite.
