See, the first problem was that you were even going to see a "doctor". I quit the system and took control of my own health. Call me my own doc.

I quit them also. In 2009.. Don't miss them a bit. Tell them to let you know when they're done "practicing" and you might come back. Who wants to be their Guinea Pig and be doctored up , as my feisty mom used to say.. Dr Deb as my ex calls me.. His Dr..

Mine is Dr Mercola mainly

I'm in my 70s, male and only go for a yearly checkup; blood work. She is wonderful. She never pushes any shots or meds. We spend 85% ofthe time talking about families. We give each other a big hug as I am leaving.

I key you in to something, we got less than 15 minutes on reading prescriptions in pharmacy school.

There is far more important matters to attend to, like reproducing the Krebs cycle from scratch. (I never used it even once even at the hospital)

I am almost 75 and am reading a well known biochemistry book used in medical school. For fun, actually. Not that I can understand much of it, but I am wondering with a few pages left to read how much of this stuff a doctor is going to remember or ever have use for. I am beginning to think a good portion of it is propaganda. Drugs are definitely favored over vitamins and minerals.

Pushing drugs is how they make the big bucks. If the public really understood this, but they don't.

My daughter is an RN BSN.. She thinks they're just fine until they're not. She then takes what I prescribe and tells her Dr.. The scrpt he doles out doesn't work and she names mine.. Natural .. I call them quacks because every time she goes to any of them, they are wrong. She has a long ways to go though because she takes a ton of anxiety depression type garbage for years. Just pray!!

..."less than twenty hours of nutrition training total in their four years at medical school."...and during those four years, not much medical/healing training either. They go through the motions pursuing a degree that guarantees them the big bucks...no matter who dies.

I only seek out Naturopaths to see, "doctors" don't know shit. Even my naturopath didn't the great supplement I was taking, https://www.zerohedge.com/medical/astaxanthin-ultimate-anti-inflammatory-and-anti-aging-nutrient.

Great piece

I try to avoid MDs, but I'll take my supplements to my hairdresser before I take them to an MD (with one shining exception).

MDs are trained the use of: pharmaceutical drugs by mouth or injection, and surgeries. That's it. We have to stop expecting MDs to have competence outside of their rather narrow field. They know nothing about nutritional supplements and nothing about herbal and other remedies. Why waste money just argue their use with an uninformed person?

Their area of competence is the suppression of bodily functions through pharmaceutical drugs, plus some more useful things like certain surgeries, reducing fractures etc. The rest we take care of ourselves, or with a more appropriate and informed practitioner.
