The LWO can go burn in hell.

BMeowDawg's avatar

LWO hates Christianity, freedom of speech, capitalism, economic independence from the state, basic nationalism, secure borders, personal security, family life, natural health, basically anything worth having. Values bureaucratic power to restrain or eliminate all of these things.

Anthropological Reversibility might complete Fukuyama's thesis:

Actually, China lost Taiwan when the Japanese won the first Sino Japanese war. After the Chinese Communist Party beat the Nationalists in 1949, both sides declared there is only one China. And that has been the status quo ever since.

Fukuyama is a simpleton. His take was/is an amusing item in the trash bin of history.

If Realism is cool now, heads of state will now openly say "why you asking me? I answer to the central banks and their intel agency enforcers"

Right?

Not holding my breath on Realism.

Formosa is not Chinese. The Chinese themselves are divided into several ethnically different clans, with the Westerners brutally oppressed.

The island now called Taiwan was long peopled by ethnically different people from the Han or the Cantonese.

Visiting and meeting Taiwanese people brings this home: they are a gentler, more honest and kinder people.

A few hundred years ago the Formosan navy defeated the Chinese navy in a famous battle, btw.

The Chinese nationalists invaded Taiwan as they escaped the Maoists, having lost the civil war, thence the “guests” becoming the cuckoos in the Taiwanese nest. But Taiwan is still not Chinese.

The CCP is a goose-stepping synthesis of all that was politically evil in the 20th Century: Bolshevism, Marxism, Maoism, Totalitarianism, etc and it has blended into the mirror image of National Socialism.

The best outcome is that Xi is uttering his last appeal for “greatness”, and that he will die, either naturally or at the hand of his many rivals, before unleashing nuclear catastrophe in the Far East.

If Taiwan falls, Russia and China and North Korea will attack South Korea, and then Japan.

Therefore, whilst unsaid, the US will defend Taiwan AT ALL COSTS. To fail to protect Taiwan at the first aggression from Xi will lead to nuclear devastation anyway.

how should we defend taiwan? with what weaponry?

now that hypersonic missiles are battle tested, our aircraft carriers are all sitting ducks. the f35 is non-operable 60% of the time.

unless we have some undisclosed space weapons up there we are powerless.

i'm serious, how we will win the war for taiwan? from the pov of a military planner, not the epoch times, if you don't mind.

It is remarkably hard to “take” an island by force. The PLA is not invincible, as the Vietnamese army demonstrated. The risk to China & the CCP of a failed invasion - the most likely outome - is existential.

So Xi is borrowing from Sun Tsu’s playbook, trying to win before going to war.

Submarines carry multiple missiles, nuclear and conventional. The Germans had their fearsome V1 and V2 in WW2 but the challenges of scaled production and limited damage beyond propaganda ensured that they were largely window dressing. So the CCP must launch the greatest ever naval and airborne assault on Taiwan, then launch multiple waves of invasion troops, in order to start the war.

At these points they are vulnerable to US, UK, Japanese, Australian and Taiwanese counter-attack.

The choice is either nuclear war or lose.

The CCP will depose Xi rather than be incinerated.

BTW, Greenland plays an important role in “over-the-Arctic” defense-offense as the US bypasses the CCP-corrupted Canadians.

So Taiwan wins by Sun Tsu’s strategy. The CCP is blustering from a position of weakness.

Think of Taiwan as an unsinkable aircraft carrier. It can’t be conquered - but it can surrender. A Taiwanese surrender will lead to nuclear war.

>>At these points they are vulnerable to US, UK, Japanese, Australian and Taiwanese counter-attack.

please explain this part. HOW are they 'vulnerable'? will we bomb the shit out of taiwan to save it? put boots on the ground? call in the special forces with magic werewolf blood?

are you saying the ccp is more afraid of nukes than our regime? i see no evidence of this.

if it comes to it, do you support a preemptive nuclear strike on china? any nuclear strike?

Xhackedly's avatar

Submarines. Ships. Drones. Remote long range missiles. Aircraft. An invading force is largely defenseless.

Pretty straightforward - the CCP’s invading force will be destroyed.

And attack will invite massive counterattack. The CCP will lose power in such a situation.

So (if you read my reply instead of writing your own) Xi will be deposed.

Therefore …

Militarily, China cannot and will not take Taiwan. The standoff will continue. Got it?

And if you wish to debate further, please write your own article so that people can comment on your article rather than hijack this substack.

our military planners couldn't win in afghanistan.

forgive me if i have doubts they can prevail in taiwan.

the only one of our guys who made any sense is the one who won the iran war game in 5 minutes by swarming the aircraft carrier with patrol boats.

your armchair militarism is cute. but not rational.

Why the fuck would we get mixed up with that fight in the first place? One China has been our policy all along. Go ahead and take it. Just wait a bit so we can sell a shitload of MIC gear to Taiwan first.

The legitimacy of the revisionists' arguments has long been clear, yet public perception still resists them. Many tend to pin bad events on the Nazis or Hitler, including (seemingly) decent journalists. For example, some absurdly attribute the Bilderberg Group to Nazi remnants. Unless we clarify this most distorted part of history, (il)liberal fascists will continue to hold enormous power.
