Ben Shapiro, for years, has made advocating free speech a cornerstone of his routine. Many conservatives were, and are, apparently impressed by Shapiro’s fast-talking debate nerd schtick. “Anti-discrimination laws are going to be used as an excuse to crack down on… people who disagree,” Shapiro said in his signature rapid-fire-nerd blitzkrieg-speak fashion in 2018 in the context of Canadian crackdowns on “anti-LGBTQ” speech for “human rights.”
Nice run down on Shapiro. I would add that though what you say is right, he is not always wrong. Therein lies the pain-in-the-ass problem: gifters are gonna grift, but they are going to grab lots of attention in process, and too few peasants will ever grasp that they are getting played.
I never liked this fool, but knew some that loved him because of all that nerd talk. Lol
Here's the formula that generally applies: "In acting, sincerity is everything. If you can fake that, you've got it made..." -- George Burns
Quite a few of the dual citizens have exposed themselves since the latest kerfuffle in the only democracy in the Middle East started. But how does he do that helium voice without the helium? Special Mossad stuff I guess.
I grew up in NYC a long time ago and remember obnoxious baseball card, statistics loving, smart-Alecs like Shapiro very well; they're a tedious stereotype. So I viewed him with sullen distaste on Innernets from afar and his Tribalist hypocrisy and hysterics seemed almost inevitable. It's all so ghetto.
... I host a controversial on-line resource, that's been on lock-down since 2008. One of the oldest sites on the information superhighway, predating Netscape 2.1. April of 2013, Edward Snowdon flushed into the wild, on the run, I saw the writing on the wall, scrubbed from social media, spent two months deleting my Facebook presence, robot-text protected everything I've published, swept my content underground, to the deep web. Federal government gone berserk, endeavoring headlong, infiltrating everything from mainstream media, to J6, to the Santa Clara Valley, to Oregon book clubs -- underground driver's group I host, notwithstanding? I've had tangible reason questioning veracity, early as 2005, what's left of our Founding Father's 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th and 8th amendments. I've since wondered, exactly what is it with contemporary television? Can't quite put my finger on what it is the CIA people are doing with the mind control thing, to contemporary television. Like bad medicine, throwing it up, not really knowing exactly what it was? Whatever it is on the boob-tube, something inside me, gut level, involuntarily rejects everything I see. And, hear. I cannot stomach it. I can no longer sit for it. I involuntarily wound up turning the thing off, no sooner than I'd turned it on. I have no viable explanation for this. Such is the extent of my alienation, three television in the house, a Direct TV subscription, I haven't turned them back on, since the 2020 election. This peculiar place I've discovered, Armageddon Prose, feels good to me. Haven't been able to say that about something, a good long while - asj.
“Fair-weather grifter” is an apt and neat term for Shapiro and his ilk. Kudos on a job well done.
Hypocrisy, the mother of all sins! Already Jesus was very clear on that! But Shapiro has his moments even though he is not a straight shooter! They can't all be Übermensch like us, Benjamin!
